M57 Tuning FAQ
DFlasher currently supports BMW models equipped with the M57 3.0L twin-turbo diesel engine and Bosch EDC17CP09 ECU. This includes the BMW E90 335d (2009–2011) and the BMW E70 X5 35d (2009–2013). Both US-spec models are fully supported.
Stage 1 delivers approximately 333 WHP (+68 WHP over stock) and 525 ft-lbs (+100 ft-lbs). Stage 2 delivers approximately 374 WHP (+109 WHP) and 606 ft-lbs (+181 ft-lbs). Stage 1 is safe on fully stock hardware. Stage 2 is recommended with supporting modifications such as a downpipe and intake.
No. Stage 1 is designed to be completely safe on stock hardware. The map optimizes boost pressure, injection timing, and torque limiters within the safe operating envelope of the stock turbochargers, injectors, and fuel system.
Yes. DFlasher includes a Custom stage that allows you to upload any compatible map file created by your tuner. This gives professional tuners full read/write access to the EDC17 ECU for bespoke calibrations.
Absolutely. Your DFlasher licence includes access to all tuning stages. You can switch between Stage 0, 1, 2, or Custom at any time directly from the app. Each flash takes approximately 3–5 minutes. You can also return to 100% stock with the factory reset feature.
